    Welcome to Owls

Our learning has already got off to a flying start and we are really looking forward to the half term ahead. We have lots of exciting learning planned. Our main topic is the Vikings. Yet again history is going to going to get pretty horrible as we learn about the vicious Vikings. Please see the link for some fantastic websites that you can enjoy exploring at home.

In English our learning will be based around the theme of ‘Dragons’. Dragons have fascinated many cultures throughout the ages. We don’t know if you’ve heard but there have been rumours of sightings of the extremely rare and reclusive Felistowe Fire Brand dragon in the local area. We will keep you informed should we hear more…

In Maths we will be learning about Place Value. We’ll be learning about some very big numbers indeed; handy for when we’re counting our millions when we’re rich and famous! There are many resources to help your child on MyMaths.

In science our topic will be ‘Materials and their Properties.’ Please see the links to some websites which will support your child’s learning at home.

Swimming is on a Tuesday. You will have received a letter outlining the arrangements. PE is on a Friday. It is a good idea for your child to keep their PE kit in school until the end of the half term.

Homework will begin the week beginning the 18th September. You will all receive a letter outlining our expectations. A copy of the letter can be found at the side along with the spellings and maths homework for the half term.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
